It’s another frosty Friday afternoon here in Oilers land but our takes HOT as a means of keeping you warm. This week, we broke down the Oilers' current three-game winning streak, discussed Jesse Puljujarvi being placed on COVID watch, and welcomed former Edmonton Oiler, Georges Laraque, to help us make sense of it all.   To kick things off, we got started with a look at the Oilers' recent success and what is the biggest reason behind this run of wins. Is it the goaltending? Is it depth scoring? Is it a bigger commitment to team defence as a whole? Can you even separate those positives seeing as they're both major contributors to wins? From there, we took a break from the team to welcome in former Oiler, Georges Laraque, to the show to talk about how he's enjoying the all-Canadian Division, his time as an NHL heavyweight, his incredible hat trick from 2000, memories from the '06 Cup run, Joey Moss, and a whole lot more. Frankly, this was one of my favourite interviews that I've ever been able to do, and to hear Georges speak with such passion about the team and city was truly remarkable. Back to the Oilers, we looked at Jujhar Khaira's resurgence after making his way back into the lineup. From where we podcast, our this could be one of the best runs of Khaira's career and I think it's fair to say that we're all pulling for him that he can keep it going. All-in-all, this was a very fun podcast to record and we hope you enjoy listening to it.
