You know those two random characters in all those Kevin Smith movies - it was a momentous occasion when they got their own feature film in 2001. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is the buddy comedy film written and directed by Kevin Smith - and the fifth to be set in his View Askewniverse (spawning from characters and settings develoved in Clerks). That Film Stew's Luke and Nathan deep dive into the View Askewniverse and take on all of the comic book references, pop-culture, cameos, and foul language that on Smith could offer. The two title characters Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) learn that a "Bluntman and Chronic" movie is being made featuring their comic book counterparts, with the pair drooling at the thought of fat movie checks. But when they find that there won't be any royalties coming their way, they set out to sabotage the flick at all costs.
