Welcome to a new SobieCast for Comicnoobs! In this cast Sobie brings on Drew to give you all the August movie preview. In this preview, Sobie and Drew wonder who was in desperate need for CGI kitty humor in the movie, “Nine Lives” (3:55). They talk about the possibility of another Disney hit in “Pete’s Dragon” (7:15) and discuss the possibilities of another Oscar nom for Meryl Streep in her new movie “Florence Foster Jenkins” (12:30). They talk about their interest in the first R-Rated Animated Movie “Sausage Party” (17:00), their high hopes for “Kubo and the Two Strings” (21:50), and then they talk about how unnecessary it was to reboot “Ben-Hur” (25:30). They discuss the return of fat Jonah Hill in “War Dogs” (31:15), Drew confuses Biel for Alba because he didn’t know that Jessica Alba was still alive as they discuss her role in the new “Mechanic: Ressurection” movie (34:15), and they talk about the interesting concept behind the new horror film, “Don’t Breathe” (38:20). In the Indie Movie Corner, Sobie and Drew inform you about “Little Men” (41:50) and WW2 drama, “Anthropoid” (44:50). The two movies they both are most excited for is the Chris Pine starred “Hell or High Water” (47:25) and the coming of age story of a 13 year old black kid growing up in Germany in “Morris from America” (50:15). They dive deep into Werner Herzog’s doc “Lo and Behold: Reveries of the Connected World” (53:45). Sobie is scared of the cheesy trailer he saw for the movie “Southside With You” (57:20), and discuss the John Krasinski directed, “The Hollers” (1:00:50). They close the preview out by discussing how Robert De Niro might be trying again in the new boxing movie, “Hands of Stone” (1:08:40) and talk about how pissed off Mel Gibson is back in Hollywood in, “Blood Father” (1:12:15).
