The Los Angeles Angels did not finish the season with Shohei Ohtani on the mound in 2023, but he wasn't the only pitcher who required some version of an elbow surgery or procedure this year. In fact, pitchers like Sandy Alcantara, Jacob DeGrom, and Shane McClanahan were among the starters who also required some sort of repair to their elbows, and it's a trend that's been rising since 2016.
