TODAY: Shirley Knight, American actress with over 50 film credits and television roles in a career spanning over 50 years. Twice an Academy Award nominee, she had starring roles in several Hollywood in the 1960's, most notably The Group. In the 1970's she moved to Broadway, and would go on to win a Tony Award for her performance in Kennedy's Children. Since the 1980's she has had numerous supporting roles in both feature and direct to video films, most recently A.D. Calvo's drama film The Missing Girl.
