Sharing Sox Podcast 38 — Loretta’s Lounge Edition — 2021-05-27 - Publication Date |

This week SSS duty geezer Leigh Allan and his son and west coast correspondent, Will, are once again awestruck by the awfulness of the White Sox organization, which decided to dis a 60-year employee for no apparent reason other than to prove they can do it, thereby setting off the great Loretta’s Lounge controversy. Yes, we do rant a bit about that, as do pretty much all White Sox fans alive.
Naturally, we take a look back over the past week’s play, including all the mistakes made by the person for whom Loretta’s Lounge is now named, the ease with which Dylan Cease loses all concentration, the brilliance of Carlos Rodón, the (we hope) minor injuries to Michael Kopech and Adam Eaton, and — mostly — ways to try to save the game of baseball from itself.
That last includes seconding Steve Stone’s excellent strike zone advice and kicking the tails of pitchers who need two minutes between pitches to recover.
And, oh, yeah — we pick a player to disappear when Adam Engel returns. Clue word: wool.
