Happy New Year! Rebecca & Alex are back and there is so much to chat about. From candles, to America, to sexism, to the Mandalorian (spoiler alert on that one, by the way), and yes there's even some actual football chat on this show for good measure. We kick off with whether the season will continue after more positive COVID results, before delving into Liverpool’s slump and alarming form gets addressed with discussion about the centre back debate, terrible officiating, lazy punditry, the loss of Fabinho and Henderson in midfield, and whether Klopp and the boys can rally from a difficult period. Unsurprisingly, Frank Lampard is judged quite harshly this week given Chelsea's recent form, with chat about his tactical naivety, the Timo Werner problem, and whether we could see a new manager at Stamford Bridge soon. Elsewhere, the Karen Carney treatment from Leeds United's social media team gets a lot of time and we get into a big old tangent about women, sexism & double standards, before finding some time to chat about Manchester United's resurgence and whether they're truly title contenders again. Plus, a Patreon update, stupid right back narratives, Lampard in nappies, Sheba & Spurs, Brexit managers, yummy Pochettino, whack-a-mole strikers, Klopp and potatoes, "mustard couples", board game preparation, robin confusion, jugs of gin, biting and botties, and Baby Yoda vs Sasha Banks. **Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts, as it makes it easier for other potential listeners to find us. Thanks!**
