Submit ReviewRHLSTP Book Club 23 - Murder at Crime Manor - Richard talks to comedian and actor about this hilarious and surprisingly gripping novel (badly) written by his comedy alter-ego Martin Fishback. First though there is a real life mystery to try and solve. Then Fergus explains how the character of Fishback was born and how in turn Fishback’s character of Detective Roger LeCarre came to life and find out about whether Fergus was nervous about turning an internet hit into a full blown novel. We also get to hear a bit of the book read out by Fishback and hear about the excellent TV pilot for the character and how Rich destroyed the dreams of two young comedians with a harsh dose of realism.
Plus they talk about how many Kit Kats are made every month and how it would be better to invent a chocolate bar than write books, the two or more schisms that have been created by scones and the skill required to read an audiobook. Rich rudely recommends a totally different book and Fergus also tells us about what he’s been reading.
