Primarily made up of old school friends, Wizards played in the Edmonton and District Sunday League a decade ago and actually made it through to win the league
In this podcast, Ewan talks about how he started writing, the personal discipline needed to actually just sit down and get on with it, the ups and downs of getting a publishing deal and, finally, the thrill of seeing his first book published. Within this, he shares his thoughts about resilience, the role it plays in football and how the skills he gained playing and managing Wizards helped him in his working career.
Ewan also talks about his love of football from a fan s perspective as well as the highs and lows of playing in an amateur league and shares his thoughts on the sense of community that team sports can bring and the positive effects of winning and losing together
