In yesterday’s Black History Month lesson from Anthony T. Browder, they touched on Carter G. Woodson, also known as the “Father of Black History.” Today’s episode takes a closer look at the historical figure, who intentionally chose February as Black History Month, as opposed to the criticism that it was simply dropped into the shortest month of the year. As Anthony explains, Woodson’s choice of February was a move to rescue history. And make no mistake: Black history is world history, and everyone on this planet has been miseducated to some extent.  Anthony T. Browder is an author, publisher, cultural historian, artist, and educational consultant. He is the founder and director of IKG Cultural Resources, as well as the director of the ASA Restoration Project, and has devoted 43 years researching ancient Egyptian history, science, philosophy and culture.
