The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Chris Boswell to a $20 million extension over four years with $12.5 million guaranteed. The contract makes Boswell the highest-paid kicker in NFL history, tied with Justin Tucker's rate with the Baltimore Ravens.

Boswell is on a Pro Football Hall of Fame trajectory after just seven seasons. Omar Khan and Mike Tomlin had the right plan by keeping the kicker on the payroll. He will help them win a lot of close defensive games in the coming years as they rebuild the offense.
