Our Parsha begins with laws that pertain only to Kohanim, such as remaining ritually pure at all times. The Torah continues with many laws concerning the sacrifices, like at what age an animal can be used for a sacrifice, or which blemishes disqualifies it from use.
We learn why Torah puts the Commandment not to desecrate God's name, near the law of not slaughtering a mother and her calf on the same day.
