The number of young people put in custody has been drastically reduced and that has led the province to close a number of detention facilities. But as a consequence, those who are held are sometimes taken to facilities far from their family and support. We find out more from Linda Mussell, a political scientist from Queen's University in Kingston; Researchers have analyzed how public health agencies and officials across Canada were communicating on Twitter in the early days of the pandemic. The conclusion is that - in most cases - they could have done a better job. Catherine Slavik of McMaster University, and the lead author of the study, tells us what they learned; The Association of Municipalities of Ontario - AMO - has put forward its recommendations on how communities should respond to elected officials who violate of their code of conduct. Graydon Smith, the Mayor of Bracebridge and president of AMO outlines their position; Colin Furness an infection control epidemiologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto explains the implications of the World Health Organization's determination that it is aerosols from our breath that are the main vector in the spread of the coronavirus; Jordan Press, Parliamentary reporter for the Canadian Press, looks at how Bill C-19 which would provide some temporary amendments to the Election Act has become a bit of a political football; Murray Sinclair Sinclair, former Senator and chief commissioner of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, discusses his decision to take on the role of chancellor at Queen's University in Kingston; Natasha Barlow of Birds Canada talks about their program to encourage people to plant bird-friendly gardens.
