Several organizations are working hard to try and diversify councils around the province so they better reflect the populations they serve. Women and people of colour continue to be under-represented, as well as people with disabilities and the LGBTQ community. Peterborough councilor, Kemi Akapo who is originally from Nigeria, tells us about the efforts they're making in her city; According to projections by the U-N Major economies are expected to produce more than double the amount of coal, oil and gas in 2030 making it harder to curb global warming.
