Campbell, the founder of Northside Hip Hop Archive and an Assistant Professor in Music and Culture at the University of Toronto; Jodi Lloyd, the chair of the Simcoe County District School Board discusses reaction to the decision to keep kids out of classrooms for the rest of the school year - and the Premier's suggestion that all grades should hold a graduation celebration of sorts; Many Canadians did not learn about the history of residential schools because it wasn't a part of the school curriculum.That is changing. But there are calls for greater consultation with Indigenous elders and scholars.Colinda Clyne, the Curriculum Leader for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education, at the Upper Grand District School Board in Guelph tells us more; Edwin Ng contracted COVID-19 while working as a PSW at the Roberta Place long term care home in Barrie.
