It’s Friday afternoon and the gang is all here with a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to help you finish off what’s left of your week with an hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. On today’s show, we looked at the Oilers refusing to fire the coach, and a whole lot more.

To kick things off, we jumped in with a delicious debate about how surprised we all are that the Oilers haven't made any changes behind the bench yet. Personally, I'm not at all surprised that Dave Tippett is still with the team regardless of the fact that he's lost his last 13 games, but that's more of a reflection on the organization than it is a reflection of my own desires. From there, we looked at the Oilers' goaltending situation and whether or not it's actually realistic that they're able to get anything done mid-season. Even if they can find a trade partner, is there any way to win a trade when you're dealing from a position of weakness? From there, we previewed the Battle of Alberta that's set for Saturday night and wondered if this is the exact matchup the Oilers need to get themselves fired up and ready to go. Over the last couple of seasons, the Battle of Alberta has been extra spicy and maybe getting into a game where emotions are running his is part of the solution? Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to recap what was a very busy week here in Edmonton.
