It's Wednesday and that means that I've got a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never set and ready for your ear holes. This week, I looked at how the Oilers fared against a run of the league's best teams, Mikko Koskinen's brilliance, Derek Ryan's heater, your voicemails, and more.

To kick the podcast off, I jumped in with a look back at the last seven days for our beloved Oilers and how they find themselves in a playoff battle for the ages despite missing some key pieces in the lineup. One guy that's stepped up in a big way over the last couple of weeks has been Mikko Koskinen, who sports a sparkling .934 save% over his last eight starts. There was no better example of how dialled in Mikko is right now than Saturday's game against the Florida Panthers when he stopped 47 shots and stole two points for his team. Another guy that's really heating up is Derek Ryan. Not only did he pick up his first career hat trick this past week, but he looks like a totally different player under Jay Woodcroft. From there I looked ahead at what is an important week for the boys as they take on two teams in the Blackhawks and Canadiens that are must-have games to make sure they're keeping pace. And with the trade deadline less than three weeks away, I also spent some time on what the Oilers may do leading up to the NHL's annual swap 'n shop. Lastly, I wrapped up this week's podcast with another round of voicemails and answered your questions on everything from the Oilers to dating to wine recommendations and everything in between.
