We're already a month into this new NHL season, the Oilers just blew their first third period lead, and that means the boys had plenty to talk about on the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio. On today’s podcast, we’re talkin’ about last night's loss to New Jersey, which goalie should start against Dallas, and welcomed Harnarayan Singh to talk about his book and what it's like to call the Battle of Alberta.

To kick off this week’s podcast, we got started with a conversation about the goaltending and specifically who we would start on Saturday against the Dallas Stars. Would we keep the rotation going with Jack Campbell? Should Woodcroft go back to Skinner as he has the better stats to start the season? From there, we looked at Dylan Holloway's spot on the roster and whether or not he would be best served to be playing big minutes in Bakersfield. Next up, we welcomed Harnarayan Singh to talk a little bit about his book, On Game at a Time, and what it was like to come up as a broadcaster on Hockey Night in Canada during the fanless games of the pandemic. From the story of his first HNIC game with no one in the building to calling the Oilers and Kings in the playoffs with Rogers Place going crazy, Harnarayan had so many amazing stories for us that the interview went by in a blink. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers.
