1865: The Nottingham Forest Podcast is proud to partner with FanHub and The Terrace. In a break with recent tradition, there were no late goals or comebacks in this one, as Forest recorded a comfortable (in the end) victory over Preston North End. Forest reverted to a 4-2-3-1 formation in an attempt to get the first goal and provide more attacking threat, and although Preston made a confident start, the Reds struck first through Lewis Grabban's penalty. MOTM Jack Colback added a great second goal before half-time. It's worth noting that the Reds didn't have it all their own way - at the start of each half, the visitors exerted pressure, and Grabban's second goal after a jinking, mazy run from Brennan Johnson was needed to put the game to bed. After three matches in a row with (ahem) curious refereeing decisions, Forest probably got the benefit of the doubt for much of this game. Rich Ferraro and Baz report on a welcome three points.
