Today is the Non-tender Deadline for MLB as the lockout looms on December 2nd and the Cincinnati Reds have a few players that some people see as candidates to be non-tendered. We talk about Amir Garrett, Tyler Naquin, Jeff Hoffman, and Aristides Aquino and why the Reds may actually keep them instead of moving on from them. We also look at Tyler Naquin, why he seems like a roster lock, and why Andrew McCutcheon could be an interesting platoon candidate with him.

As Michael Lorenzen signed with the Los Angeles Angels, and many other free agency happenings went on, the Cincinnati Reds continued their status quo of little to no movement. This seems to allude to how they will approach today's non-tender deadline. with some players due to make raises, and some of those players making seemingly easy non-tender targets, we look at why none of them may be moved on from a the Reds have established a position of immutability.

Let's pretend for a moment that the Reds do make a move and look at what Andrew McCutcheon could bring to the table as a Red. He would greatly improve Cincinnati's lineup against left-handed pitchers. Imagining also brings to light the reality of status quo, though, so lets also try to squint and see the positive side of Aristides Aquino being given the platoon job with Naquin and how he can improve.
