Submit ReviewHi everyone. In Part 2 of this two-part series-- Part 1 was published last week-- we’ll discuss such things as: what impact COVID-19 is having on news journalism, how news journalism might change in the future, what opportunities there might be for those interested in pursuing a career in news journalism, and which media outlets our guest expert thinks are the best to turn to for, in particular, national and international news. To do that, we’ve brought on a former news journalism pro. He’s Ralph Begleiter.
Ralph Begleiter is a lifelong journalist and educator. A former CNN "World Affairs Correspondent," he was the most widely-traveled reporter during the first two pioneering decades of CNN's existence. While at CNN, Ralph covered international politics and helped create and build the all-news TV genre. He worked in 100 countries on all 7 continents and reported on top U.S. diplomats and other officials.
Following his long career in global broadcast journalism, Ralph became an award-winning instructor in higher education at the University of Delaware. From 1999 - 2015, Ralph taught journalism and political science. He also created and ran the "Global Agenda" and "National Agenda" speaker programs. If you like this episode of Looking Forward, please let your family, friends, co-workers and those at your local TAPinto community newspaper know that. Thanks.
