Novelty vs familiarity and your brand. The number one most used word in advertising copy is “new”. We love novelty, we like to hear the newest episode or read the newest article. It's called "NEWS" after all. But we actually also love familiarity. In fact, we are hardwired for it. Humans like to maintain the status quo because it was evolutionary a safer bet for us.
