Television and film actor David Del Rio joins us this week to chat all about the new Hulu comedy series “Maggie”, which follows a young psychic who, for the first time, sees herself in a glimpse of the future when she meets David’s character Ben. David shares how he and his co-star Rebecca Rittenhouse prioritized their on-screen chemistry as they developed their characters, his experience filming yet another series during the pandemic, and how Latin TV legends like John Leguizamo made him feel represented growing up

Speaking on working with his co-star Rebecca, he shared, “When you’re working with someone like Rebecca it’s really easy. It’s all about having fun and understanding the balance between how much you lean into each other, and how you back away from each other so you can give the audience a good, healthy ‘will they,  won’t they’ scenario.”

He also spoke on how fortunate he feels to have been part of so many feel-good projects like ABC’s Baker and the Beauty, Netflix’s A California Christmas and now with Maggie during the past two years that were particularly challenging for the entertainment industry. “We all realized how lucky we are to do this and how lucky we are that we’re all still safe to do this,” he said. “We thought ‘well, we don’t know if we’ll be back next year, so let’s just have fun!’ There was a big cloud of gratefulness over our set.”

Season one of "Maggie" is now streaming on Hulu.
