Kriss, Ro and Brandon review Star Wars Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. This is the end of the new Star Wars trilogy and there is a lot of film here. This movie is a sprint. There is a ton of action, a ton of story and a lot of elements going on. Some will say that J.J. Abrams "undid" a lot of what Rian Johnson produced in The Last Jedi but we didn't see it that way. Obviously there are some elements that didn't fully connect because there were two different directors, but The Rise of Skywalker definitely carries on a lot of the story built up in The Last Jedi. The biggest problem with Star Wars has always been that the fan base of Star Wars has always enjoyed the concept of Star Wars and not really what's shown in the movies. The Rise of Skywalker does a lot of "showing" instead of "telling" with force powers and even giving us more background on the Sith. It's not a perfect film and the sheer volume of information in this film makes it a lot to process. But overall, audiences should enjoy it.
