MH370 was a Malaysia Airlines flight originating in Kuala Lampur. Its destination was Beijing, China. On the night of March 8, 2014, while flying over the South China Sea, all of its communication equipment was shut off, making it invisible to air traffic control. An hour later, Malaysian military radar tracked the flight heading northwest up the Malacca Strait. Flight 370 was never seen again.
