US Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz was first elected to congress in 2004 and currently serves as the U.S. representative from Florida's 23rd congressional district which is much of Broward and North-Miami Dade. She is also a former chair of the Democratic National Committee, and has the distinct honor of being Florida's first Jewish congresswoman.
