Mark Allen isn’t just a champion athlete… he’s a lot more than that. He’s a pioneer, an icon of the global sport of Triathlon. He is one of the reasons that the sport of Triathlon became the household sport it is today. His incredible battles and his domination are of legendary status. He inspired a generation of kids to want to be Triathletes… and I was one of them. He was voted “The Greatest Endurance Athlete Of All Time” in a worldwide poll conducted by ESPN. Over the course of his fifteen-years of racing, he won 66 of the 96 races he competed in. He was named “Triathlete of the Year” six times by Triathlete Magazine, and in 1997 Outside magazine called him “The World's Fittest Man”. He won the Kona Ironman World Championship an incredible 6 times The Nice Triathlon 10 times And the Inaugural ITU Olympic distance World Championships in 1989. He’s still the only American to have won the ITU World Championships to this day.
