TODAY: Mario Cantone, American actor and comedian with a fast-paced sense of humor. Cantone's comedic career began when he was in Junior High, when he did a comedic impression of Julia Child for a talent show. After graduating from Emerson College in 1982, Cantone began his professional career hosting a children's television show called Steampipe Alley, which aired on WWOR-TV from 1987 to 1993. In the years following, he acted in small film roles while maintaining a steady presence on Broadway, playing roles in stage productions such as Love! Valour! Compassion!, and starred alongside actor Patrick Stewart in a revival of The Tempest. Cantone's best known film roles include Anthony Marentino in Sex and the City as well as its sequel, and the voice of Mikey Abromowitz in the animated film Surf's Up. Cantone is also known for his long career in stand-up comedy, where his rapid fire pace, campy impressions of famous celebrities, and original songs have earned him much acclaim.  Popcorn Talk Network, the online broadcast network that features movie discussion, news, interviews and commentary proudly presents “The Film Scene w/ Illeana Douglas”, a weekly, freewheeling discussion show where industry veteran Illeana Douglas interviews Hollywood's most important voices in TV and Film, discussing some of Cinema's most important films, scenes, and shots.
