For this week's main review, I am joined by Amanda Spears, Josh Parham, Dan Bayer & Ryan C. Showers. This week we're discussing the latest film on Netflix, which is another stage to screen adaptation from Tony Award winning playwright August Wilson ("Fences") titled "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom," starring Viola Davis and Chadwick Boseman. Already a big Oscar contender, the film was suddenly thrusted into the spotlight earlier this year with the tragic passing of one of its stars, Chadwick Boseman. With this being his last on-screen role, he leaves behind an iconic legacy which we discuss, along with the other tremendous performances from this ensemble, the direction by George C. Wolfe, how well the film overcomes its stage trappings and more. Thank you and enjoy! Check out more on NextBestPicture.com Please subscribe on...
