LW1377 - Visual Confirmation, or Visual Revelation
I believe there is a deep rooted limitation in the ubiquitous social media thumbs up or thumbs down. It is primarily used as a visual confirmation (thumbs up) that the photographer has faithfully produced what we expect them to produce, or (thumbs down) they have missed the mark. Such a rating system completely eliminates the idea of visual revelation.
