Content Warnings

Where do we start? Book is from the point of view of an Italian-American bisexual teen in New Jersey in the early 80s. There's sexism, internalized homophobia, transphobia, racism, coercive sex, blackmail, drugging, underage drinking, terrible parents, and "creative vandalism"--aka making life terrible for retail workers. We talk about it more in the episode, so reader caveat, the honesty of the narrative means revealing the ugliness of being a suburban queer in the 80s.
