Submit ReviewDorothy Parades was first diagnosed at 26 with Stage I, Triple Negative breast cancer. Ten years later, she was then also diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 36 and again at 38. In this episode Dorothy reads her piece “Life With You: In Three Parts” from the 2023 “Five Years & Counting” issue of Wildfire Magazine. This is a piece about living in a world where cancer is normal and the lessons learned along the way. April and Dorothy will discuss long-term survivorship, finding joy in cancer, processing grief, and when cancer joins the relationship with our partners. They will also discuss tips Dorothy learned about writing and publishing a book when she wrote her memoir “26 & Fu¢ked Up." Don't miss listening, as well, to the incredibly moving story behind the naming of the nonprofit organization she founded called The Atrium Foundation. The Atrium Foundation helps pay bills for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers.
