Happy Wednesday! We are back with another episode and since we are in the month of February I want to bring a guest to talk about cardiovascular health. Gabriela John is currently working for a non profit as a health educator for the WISEWOMAN program (well integrated screening and evaluation for women across the nation). The program focuses on servicing low-income women ages 40 to 64 years, with heart disease and stroke risk factor screenings and services that promote healthy behavior to reduce the risk for heart disease and stroke. Gabriela also previously worked in Mexico as a public health clinical dietitian for a federal hospital as well as had a successful private practice for over 10 years. She holds a Master's in Public Health with a concentration in health promotion from the Universidad Iberoaemricana and Xochicalco.
