Zane Recommends - Working Class History

#solo host #scripted #documentary style

https://workingclasshistory.com/

History is not made by the actions of a few rich and powerful individuals, like so much of the history we learn in school. History is made by the combined everyday actions of hundreds of millions of us: women, men, youth, people of colour, migrants, indigenous people, LGBTQ+ people, disabled people, workers, the unemployed, housewives - the working class. Our project is dedicated to all those who have struggled in the past for a better world, and who continue to do so now.

As well as our podcast and social media outlets we are working on building an interactive website and global map of people's history. We are committed to being completely independent, and making our history available to everyone, so we have no adverts and apart from a bit of bonus content we don't put anything behind a paywall. We are not academics or experts, we are just ordinary workers doing this on our own time to try to help educate and inspire a new generation of activists with lessons from the past. This podcast is about how we, together, have fought for a better world.
