At the Garma festival on the weekend Prime Minister Anthony Albanese failed to commit to a Makarrata Commission, as requested by Aboriginal people in the Uluru statement to heart. The move seemed to deny Opposition Leader Peter Dutton a key point of attack, but where does it leave the truth-telling process, and the government's relationship with first nations people in Australia?
