13-year-old Kristopher Lewis got off the bus with a friend on February 4, 2014. He was only a block away from his house, in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood, when his friend last saw him. But Kris never made it home. Kristopher’s mother, Nina Cancel, was thrust into every parent’s worst nightmare, which was compounded by the utter disinterest that the Boston Police and the local media showed toward her and her missing son. In this episode, we talk not only about Kristopher, but about the larger systemic issues that have contributed to Kristopher still being missing today. If you have any information on Kristopher Lewis, please call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-The-Lost.You can see a full list of our sources along with photos on our website, AndThenTheyWereGone.com.Sources: Facebook: Kristopher Lewis Mother pushing for answers 2 years after 13-year-old went missing The Charley Project: Kristopher Bryan Lewis NCMEC: Endangered Runaways Facebook: Find Kristopher Black kids go missing at a higher rate than white kids.
