Submit ReviewThe work of New Jersey born mixed-media portrait artist Kandy G Lopez is currently on view at ACA Galleries, her first solo show in New York City. Lopez grew up in South Florida in an Afro-Carribean family, and other than being an artist, she works as an associate professor at the Halmos College of Art & Sciences at NOVA Southeastern University. Kandy G Lopez: Situational Identity, displays new fiber portraits and is on view at 173 Tenth Avenue through October 21. Ahead of a reception open to the public tomorrow, Lopez joins to tell us more about her new work and her artistic vision.
