Legendary Manchester United centre-back, Jaap Stam joined the UTD Podcast this week for an extended look through his playing and managerial career.

The Pod team travelled to Jaap's home town of Zwolle in The Netherlands to record this episode, where the Dutchman talked us through his move to Old Trafford, and how he initially turned down Sir Alex Ferguson; choosing instead to stay another year playing for PSV Eindhoven.

We also touched on FC Cincinnati's social media mistake when announcing Jaap as Manager, the time he got David May in a headlock on the team bus, and the infamous 'yellow bib' for the worst playing in Manchester United training sessions.

Part two is coming next week, where Jaap Stam tells us all about his controversial exit from Manchester United.
