Yes. The son of Catcher in the Rye author, J.D. Salinger, played Cap in the first-ever theatrical Captain America movie. In the early 90s, producers of such films as "Over the Top" and "Cutthroat Island" got the film rights to make a movie based on Marvel Comics' Captain America. After that a few years of development hell, they eventually made the movie, and cast Matt Salinger in the titular role.
