Sam Gellerstein is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, educator, composer and arranger based in Philadelphia. He is a core member of the popular Snacktime Brass Band, known for its energetic street performances and genre-spanning sound, which draws from jazz, salsa, and ska punk. Created during the height of the COVID pandemic, Snacktime quickly gained local fame for its soul-energizing shows and recently released its debut album, Sounds from the Street: Live! The band has grown to be a symbol of positivity in the city, performing at major festivals such as Firefly, The Peach Music Festival, and XPonential Festival, and has been featured by NPR Music, Good Morning America, and The Today Show. In addition to its music, Snacktime also curates food/music events and gives back to charitable organizations such as the Working Families Party and SHARE foods.
