BHL: Next – In this episode, our Black Hollywood Live host Rhelin Taylor talks everything with China-Marie. Follow @ChinaMarieMusic Everywhere on social Media for China-Marie. China-Marie is a free spirit hippie at heart from Portland, Oregon, who's passion for music started at the young age of eight, singing along to Neo-Soul records her mom played around the house. At the age of thirteen, China-Marie began to focus more on singing and songwriting as it was a way for her to release the grief she was feeling after her grandmother passed. A few years ago China-Marie decided to take the next step in her career and make one of the biggest moves in her life. She took a leap of faith and moved from Portland, Oregon to LA where she knew no one and didn’t even have a plan in place, and knew she would have to sleep in her car for a few weeks, but with her work ethic and drive she was determined to make it.
