Deb is a tech fellow at the AI Now Institute Working on critical perspectives to evaluation practice in AI, conducting audits on deployed AI systems and facial recognition, and AI auditing policy. She has worked closely with the Algorithmic Justice League initiative and on several projects to highlight cases of bias in computer vision. Deb was named one of MIT Technology Review’s 35 Innovators Under 35 for her research on the harms of racially biased data in facial recognition technologies.
