We're going back to sequel town and joining everyone's favorite band of elite mercenaries in 2014's The Expendables 3! Sylvester Stallone reunites the previous films' crew of aging action stars, only this time, he's adding a few more to the mix including Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, and Harrison Ford! In this outing, Stallone's Barney Ross must track down Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson), the co-founding member of The Expendables who's gone the route of international arms dealer! Yet Barney's team of grizzled tough guys won't be enough, and he's going to need even more help this go round, by way of a much younger (and bland!) team of recruits! Returning to the show to help me to discuss this one is Catherine Gonzalez, host of Latinex Lens! In what ways could they have alleviated the overstuffed and cramped nature of this film? Does Stallone make a single good decision in this film? What exactly do all of the new additions bring to the movie? And why is more not always better? Listen in as Catherine and I chat the fun, but tonally inconsistent The Expendables 3!
