The Pittsburgh Steelers signed slot cornerback Desmond King Wednesday as an additional move by Omar Khan for the secondary. But was King the best fit? The move doubles up on the Steelers' slot cornerbacks with Chandon Sullivan to go along with Patrick Peterson, Joey Porter Jr. and Levi Wallace at cornerback. King's ability to help against the run along with his ball skills as a cornerback could make him an asset to how the Steelers use their defensive backs.

But King's biggest attribute to the secondary might be his presence as a veteran and how he can fit into the secondary with his ability to communicate and be part of the schemes the Steelers' secondary will be dependent upon to make big plays. With Minkah Fitzpatrick, can the secondary be the piece that puts the Steelers' defense back into elite status?
