In this episode, I have a conversation with my friend, breath teacher, and clinical psychologist Dr. Belisa Vranich. We discuss her path to discovering the power of the breath, some of the cues you might be breathing wrong, and how you can effectively re-train your breath to work for you, not against you. We get into how breath can help us let go, stay present, and feel our emotions in a cathartic and healing way. Learning proper breath is SUCH an act of self love and self care - truly, if you’re wondering what you’re really craving, it seriously may be found in how you are breathing. This is a MUST listen for just about everyone.

A clinical psychologist and a leading expert in mental health and fitness, Dr. Belisa Vranich is the author of Breathe: The Simple, Revolutionary 14-Day Program to Improve Your Mental and Physical Health (St. Martin’s Press/Hay House). She is the founder of www.thebreathingclass.com. Dr. Belisa has extensive experience working with first responders: firefighters, military and law enforcement for topics related to endurance, stress reduction, precision, pain reduction, and PTSD.

You can find Dr. Belisa on Instagram, find lots of resources including the Caesar Milan video mentioned in this podcast on her website at www.thebreathingclass.com, and get your breathing IQ score at thebreathingiq.com.

I’m also obsessed with knowing all about you, so please follow (and DM!)  me on Instagram, Facebook and my website. We’re in this together and the journey is going to be so awesome.
