Our trailer reviews have backed up a bit. So after the DC Fandome nerdgasm we all had this past weekend, there was more than enough for a full blown Trailer Thoughts Special with the first look at Matt Reeves’ The Batman in our leadoff spot.
Will Battinson be cool? Can they balance so many arch nemeses in one movie? And was that actually Colin Farrell or that guy from Spin City & Curb Your Enthusiasm? We answer all of Gotham’s burning questions.
Then we discuss the rest of the trailers, behind the scenes featurettes, and a few of the interviews from DC’s Fandome 2020 including the reveal of Cheetah in Wonder Woman 1984, The Rock’s inevitable Noah Centineo smackdown in Black Adam, why trailer music needs to stop in Justice League: The Snyder Cut, and the never-ending roll call of The Suicide Squad.
That’s not all though as Tenet released its final trailer, On The Rocks debuted what does seem like an Apple TV+ movie, and Death On The Nile shows up WB on how to CU. Judas and the Black Messiah proves us right, The Devil All The Time grosses us out, Let Him Go tells the story about a bunch of white A-Holes, and Eternal Beauty is quite the exercise in confirmation bias. But from superhero films to Oscar hopefuls, we deliver a full slate of trailer thoughts in this special.
