Submit Review“God is seen in ordinary places, in small stories and in the random-weird stories, but we often miss him because we think that He is only a part of the epic faith stories” - Melissa Zaldivar
We have all lost someone we love too early and it is never the best feeling. In fact, it sometimes leads us to our lowest moments and grieving in ways we never imagined, but it also marks us in ways that end up helping others who are in similar situations. On today's show, I sat down with my good friend, Melissa Zaldivar and we talked about her newest book, “What Cannot Be Lost”. Melissa shares about grief, loss and sorrow and how losing a close friend reminded her to pause and say what a gift and honor it is to have friendships and not just treat them like an obligation. Melissa reminded us that death hurts and death reminds us how much we are out of control, but as Christians we do not have to be afraid of it. She says death is something we can pause and think about and as we mourn our loved ones we can be reminded that one day we will get to see them again.
Melissa’s book, “What Cannot Be Lost”, is a book I did not know I needed. I am certain that you will be blessed by our conversation and as you move forward in whatever grief that you are experiencing, I hope you will have opportunities to help someone else along the journey.
