More apartments, 'modular homes' and stamp duty reform are some of the ideas being put forward to help boost housing supply in regional areas struggling to cope with an influx of people fleeing the big cities.

Housing ministers, real estate agents and builders will be discussing them today at the National Regional Housing Summit in Canberra.
