We're back at it again with another episode of They Called This a Movie, and this week, we're talking about one of the weirdest horror sequels of all time.
The year is 1985 and the world is right in the middle of Freddy Fever. So how does New Line Cinema respond? By trying to strong-arm Robert Englund and then making a sequel that barely features Freddy doing what Freddy does best, of course.
That's right. This week, we're covering A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge. Sit back and relax as we go in depth with this one. We talk about the overt sexual undertones, the jurisdiction of physical education teachers, and how this movie would make a lot more sense without Freddy. We even get to play a round of "Serial Killer or One-Off Seinfeld Character".
