On today's Locked On Giants podcast, host Ben Kaspick talks about three things we learned this weekend with the San Francisco Giants. The first thing we learned is that Brandon Crawford signed a two-year, $32M extension to stay in San Francisco. Crawford is enjoying a career year at age 34, and the deal is a win for both sides. The second thing we learned was that the Crawford extension gives the Giants roster flexibility, particularly regarding what they'll do this winter with an all-time shortstop free agent class. Finally, the third thing we learned was that the Giants activated Evan Longoria off the 60-day IL, Sammy Long was recalled to start Saturday's game (and then optioned after the game), and Anthony DeSclafani was activated off the IL to start on Friday. The Giants ended up taking three out of four from the Rockies this weekend, and next will welcome the New York Mets into town.
